What matters, technically
We build the Husky HyPET 4.0 heater lamp as a straight 1:1 replacement for the machine’s infrared heating system. The emitter uses a quartz envelope and short-wave infrared (NIR) design, tuned for fast response and even heat across the preform shoulder and body. It runs at the OEM-rated voltage and power, with an R7s connector and the same physical length so it drops into the existing lamp holder—no modification. Each lamp is tested for output stability and temperature uniformity, and built with materials chosen for high thermal cycling resistance.
Why it holds up on this machine
This lamp is engineered for the HyPET 4.0 heating tunnel geometry and cycle profile. The payoff is stable preform heating that supports consistent stretch blow molding, so you get more on-spec bottles per hour and fewer parameter drift events. Short-wave infrared heats quickly, which helps keep cycle time where it should be. And because output stays stable, you don’t have to overcompensate by cranking tunnel settings—energy use stays in line.
A few shop-floor details
Installation is straightforward, but the lamp is sensitive to handling. Wear clean gloves, keep the quartz free of oils, and make sure the lamp aligns properly in the reflector—otherwise you’ll get hot spots. Before ordering, confirm the machine’s voltage and lamp length match. It’s a direct replacement for the HyPET 4.0, but other blow molder models can use different specs.
