We chose quartz for the outer tube because it can handle rapid heating and cooling without cracking. It also lets the infrared energy pass through cleanly. Inside, the halogen elements keep the filament temperature steady. That means a stable heat output and a longer life than you’d get from basic resistance wire. The tube’s coating is designed to manage the heat spectrum and shield the element, so performance stays consistent even when the unit is getting knocked around by vibration and shop dust. And the R7s connector? It’s a practical, no-nonsense choice. It handles high current safely and gives you a solid, direct connection that holds up to being moved and adjusted again and again.
