We wanted something that just works—a true drop-in replacement that lets you bridge the gap between the classic SBO systems and the newer Matrix series without having to rip apart your chassis. Getting the fit right It all starts with the physical stuff. If the length is off or the connector pitch doesn’t line up perfectly with the original Sidel hardware, you’re in trouble. And it’s not just about the size. If the voltage or wattage is even slightly off, you’re looking at two bad options: you either fry your power supply or end up with patchy heat across the preform. To stop that from happening, we use precision-wound filaments. It ensures the heat density feels exactly like the OEM parts. The nitty-gritty of installation We spent a lot of time on the mechanical side of things. We used standard mounting brackets and dialed in the lead-wire lengths so these modules just slide into the oven. No tugging, no stressing the connections, no swearing at the hardware. Plus, we use high-temperature quartz glass because thermal shock is a real killer in these environments. But here is a heads-up: these modules pump out more heat. That’s great for throughput, but it puts more pressure on your oven’s ventilation. If your cooling fans are clogged with dust or just worn out, your ambient temperature is going to spike. It doesn’t matter how good the lamp is if the air isn’t moving. How it feels in production The best part? No custom wiring. No annoying adapter plates. You just pull the old lamp, plug in our module, and hit your heating profile. We’ve put these through the wringer across the whole Sidel range to make sure they can handle the brutal, rapid cycling of a high-speed PET line without the filaments giving up on you.
